Welcome to Testled!

Hi.

Welcome to the testled.com blog. Writing about our company and what we’re doing has been on my radar since Rob, Ryan and I started Testled a few months ago, but only recently have I had something worth sharing.

First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who has signed up for our beta, spread our message via Twitter, and in the case of our significant others, shown patience as we worked our evenings and weekends trying to build Testled. Of course, I’d like to say thank you to everyone personally (and so would my co-founders), but the response we’ve had has been so great it just wouldn’t be practical. If you’re reading this, you know who you are, and we really do appreciate all the support we’ve had. Again, thank you.

To put that into perspective, here are some of our numbers; we’ve had 257 beta requests, 55 people have filled out our survey, and we’ve had nearly 5,000 unique visits to our website. For a product which hasn’t launched, or even released screenshots, that’s staggering. While it’s still early days, I’m taking that as an indication that people are ready and waiting for Testled.

So, how long will you have to wait? Not much longer. Our application is coming along nicely. According to our bug tracker, our web front-end is now 95% complete, and our page activity recorder is currently undergoing extensive testing. We have some UI work to do on our test playback system, but it is fully functional if a little rough around the edges. Our private beta has been open for a few weeks now, and we’re smoothing out issues and fixing bugs as quickly as we can before we launch our public beta. I don’t want to say exactly when we’re going to go into public beta (it’s probably best to follow us on Twitter), but we have talked about the date recently about it at our internal meetings, so I’ll just say ’soon’.

I’ve just snapped a few screenshots, which should give an idea of our application, and hopefully keep you interested for a little longer until our public beta.

So, thanks for reading, and stay with us for these final few weeks of testing. I can’t wait to show Testled to the world.
